TCCW Holiday Club offers a safe, friendly and welcoming environment for school children from reception upwards.

Parents/carers are invited to bring their children to the playscheme from 8.30am onwards. You must sign the register and put down the time of your arrival.

Our Routine

• On non-trip days, our activities start at 9.15am

• Around 10.30am we stop for a snack and a drink.

• At lunchtime, we have a quick tidy up and then the children wash their hands and sit down to their packed lunches.

• Activities for the afternoon run from approximately 1.30pm - 4.30pm with a snack at 3.15pm

• We also have a wide range of toys, games and craft activities for children to play with before and after the planned activities.

What to Bring to Holiday Club

Please give your child a packed lunch.

Please do not include glass bottles or nuts, including peanut butter.

Please note we are unable to store lunch boxes in a refrigerator.

We ask you to ensure your child to bring a sun hats and sun protection throughout the summer months. When attending day trips please ensure they have appropriate clothing and waterproof gear with them, just in case. Also, although we encourage children to wear aprons when taking part in messy activities, they inevitably get “stuff” on themselves! Therefore, we advise that children should wear old clothes when attending Workshop.

Trips

We endeavour to make trips as safe as possible. We do risk assessments beforehand and meet legal requirements for staff to child ratios always. All children MUST wear high-vis jackets for identification. We reserve the right to exclude children from trips if their behaviour is likely to jeopardise the safety of the group.

Cancellations for Holiday Club

If your child is ill or unable to attend a booked session, you must notify TCCW as soon as possible - there is an answerphone for messages when staff are not in the building. Please note that you will be charged £5 per child (in addition to the session fee) if you do not let us know that your child will not be attending. There are no refunds for cancelled sessions.

Late pick-up

If the person collecting the child is unavoidably delayed they must inform TCCW by telephone ASAP. If the child has not been collected by 7.00pm and the parents/carers have not informed the staff of their delay, we will implement the last stage of our Uncollected Child Procedure which includes contacting Social Care and the Police. This incident may then lead to your child being excluded from TCCW.

Security

Only parents/carers who are collecting children and official visitors will be able to gain access to the setting. All visitors will be asked to complete our Visitor’s Book.
